Barra Connection(2.55)
Music: Shan MacLean & Tracy Cavanaugh
"Barra Connection was inspired by the bridging of the Barra
Strait, a body of water in the Bras d'or Lakes, Cape Breton,
Ns, which touches the shores of Grand Narrows and Ions."
It describes transportation there before the trains bridge &
depict the joining of the two cillages.
Prior to the railroad bridge, lumbering barges transports rail
traffic across the strait. "Grandona" mentioned in my song
was a little open-endedcar ferry which carried three vehicles
entering and leaving the ferry on two wooden skeds. The
name was derived from two villages - Grand Narrows and
Iona, and was in opertion from the twenties until the
fifties. "Pesky Lineup" refers to the never ending presence
of vehicles awaiting for the ferry on both sides of the
Narrows, especially on concert days in the summer.

Coriano Ridge(3.35)
Music: Ron Gillie & Shane MacLean
"Dedicated to all the soldiers who lost their lives in the war."
