Skatt's Healthy Life-style

History
In 2003, Amy didn't like the reflection she was seeing in the mirror.  One day while browsing in the Walmart book section, she spotted the book Body for Life and was motivated by the before/after pictures inside the front and back covers.  She embarked on her first BFL Challenge, and had tremendous results--enough to claim a "Finalist" medal from the 2003 BFL competition.

Since then, Amy has continued her BFL lifestyle.  There are days when she's not perfect; heck--there are WEEKS that go by with little perfection.  However, the ideas of smaller meals, healthier food choices and the active lifestyle will always be part of her life.

Yearly Running goals
Amy completed her first marathon in 2006, crossing the finish line in 5 hrs. 21 min; her second marathon in 2007, crossing in 4:58, and her third in 2008 (5:04).  She currently trains in three of the four seasons--winter is a tough season to stay motivated.

For 2009, she will once again continue the yearly goal of completing at least one marathon (Ashlan's Whistlestop). Her established yearly goal is to beat the previous year's time. In addition, she still is striving to finally break the 25:05 5K PR she currently holds.
