Love

Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm, but
willing to draw blood in its defense.

I have never known love. Never loved anyone.
Never said "I love you" in a romantic way.
I have watched people "fall in Love".
Watched people fall "out of Love".
Watched people use the word Love to get things.
Watched people abuse the idea of Love.
And I have seen people become deliriously
happy because of Love.
I don't understand Love. Don't know if I ever will.
I think people want love more than anything
but most are afraid of it.
Some are afraid to even admit they want it.
I am not afraid to admit it.
I want to experience Love--want to know what it is--
want someone to help me understand it.
I want to feel the happiness and the pain behind it.
How will I ever know when it happens?
Because everyone's definition of Love is different--
I have realized that no one can answer that question but myself.
                                           --Sweet Rose

It is love, not reason, that is stronger than death.
                                          -Thomas Mann

Love is as much an object as an obsession, everybody
wants it, everybody seeks it, but few ever achieve it, those
who do will cherish it, be lost in it, and above all,
                                        never...never forget it.
                                          -Curtis Judalet

"This bud of love, by summer's ripening breath,
May prove a beautious flower when next we meet."
                                          -Shakespeare

Life has taught us that love does not consist of gazing
each other but in looking outward together in
                                         the same direction.
                                      -Antoine de Saint-Exupery

"We are each of us angels with only one wing,
and we can only fly embracing eachother."
                                       --Liciano De Crescenzo

Love is like magic and it always will be,

for love still remains life's sweet mystery

Love works in ways that are wondrous and strange

and there's nothing in life that love cannot change

Love can transform the most commonplace

into beauty and splendor and sweetness and grace!

Love is unselfish, understanding and kind,

for it sees with its heart and not with its mind

Love is the answer that everyone seeks.

Love is the language that every heart speaks.

Love can't be bought, it is priceless and free,

Love like pure magic is a sweet mystery
                                                                    ~ Helen Steiner Rice
