GIFTS

Deep within ourselves, we are given the gift of a hidden place.
A place of comfort, where we can be ourselves, think and be alone.
Here within this retreat, we confront our deepest feelings, our darkest and brightest dreams.
Like a treasure chest we bury our dreams and unspoken fears. .
We store the essence of ourselves there, and dream of the one being who will discover them.
This place is solely our own, then someone obtains entrance into our sheltered space.
They see and and feel our emotions, our secrets and our very being.
We give them the gift of seeing our uncertainties, our pain, our dreams and all that we are.
They in return give new perspective to our hidden releam, never judging our frailties and bestowing unconditional love to our souls.
In a corner, they silently settle down becoming part of you, always to remain within.
They give the gift of love, and demand nothing in return.
They are the most special part of you, they complete you and make you whole.
They are that special person whom you want to spend the rest of your days with.
The one to hold your hand and walk the sands of time with.
They are the gift given you, they are your love.
