My name is David Schwartz " and I live in Attalla, Alabama. I have two beautiful children, Rhianna and Haley.
Art, photography, and listening to music, for some reason all go together, so this page is devoted to my particular favorites. I have included mostly photography here and plans are in the works to expand into the different facets of my art.
I worked for an outdoor
advertising company in
Gadsden , as a
pictorial artist and I've been painting since age
2.
I had been in the outdoor advertising business
since
1977,for some
21 years. I feel very lucky to have a God given
talent.I occasionally paint
commissioned wall murals. I am currently working in Loss Prevention at Saks inc. Distribution with security. I
also paint and
construct
all in-store
rustic signs for "Telluride Clothing Co."from
Needham,Ma.The "Telluride signs" end up in
specialty
shops and
major clothing stores all over the United States
and
Canada. Here is a booklet cover with one
of my signs on it. Believe it or not, I actually paint
some things that I like when time permits. Hopefully
one day soon, I will be able to have some prints made
to sell of my paintings and photography.
Art runs deep in my family, for instance, my
father, Ronald Schwartz
paints and
repairs old museum-quality paintings among other
things, my mother,Becky paints in watercolor, and my
daughters, Rhianna and Haley
both show a lot of promise and creativity
already. My grandmother, Ruth Brock, had a very
artistic
background painting portraits,creating, painting
and
repairing antique dolls with meticulous and tedious
skill. Ruth just passed away very recently.
I am an artist at heart and art is in my blood. When I get a chance to paint,I usually work in oils or watercolors.Super photo-realism is the style that I enjoy when using oils, but I get loose with watercolors. Here is a painting of a photo from Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble's CD"In Step" that I painted in oils.(original photo by Alan Messer). In general,Color is my personal source for energy. I really enjoy experimenting with color, shape, and values in both painting and photography, especially close-up photos. My pictures are not your everyday average type and not everyone will like them, but each one is a study in color, form, and values in my constant personal quest for creativity. Most of the photos here have never been published or shown in public until now.I have found a new way to express myself. I really enjoy writing web pages and hope to keep learning more.
PLEASE sign the

is
meant to be
an enjoyable experience and a personal exploration
into the exciting world of color. The quest shall
continue!
