Once  upon a time, there was an Esquimo family living at the North Pole.  The members of this family were the father Jordan, the mother Karen and their child named Alan.  There was also a grandfather named Arthur who was a wonderful storyteller.  Each evening, the grandfather used to tell a story to his grandson.

One evening during the holiday period, the grandfather told a story about an old man named Santa Claus.  This character was wearing red clothes, black boots and a red hat with a white pompon.  He was living somewhere at the  North Pole but nobody succeeded in finding where was Santa Claus’ kingdom.  In this kingdom lived many elves making quantities of toys for worldwide children.  Each year, Santa Claus got around the world to give all these toys made by the elves.  Because of a magic sleigh and eight reindeers --with one of them, named Rudolph the Red Nosed reindeer -- Santa Claus could fly in the sky.

After this story Alan asked his grandfather : « Is Santa Claus a real person ? »  The grandfather answered : « There are many people who believe in him and many  people who don’t ».  Alan’s father said : « It is time to go to bed now ! »
Alan said : « I don’t want to go to bed » Jordan repeated : « You should go to bed now !».

During the night, the child dreamed about Santa Claus.  It was snowing and winding, Alan couldn’t see where he was going.  Suddenly, he saw a shadow coming toward him.  It was an old man who looked like the Santa Claus described by his grandfather.

«Hello young boy, are you lost ? I can help you, my name is Santa Claus.»

«You are a real person !!! » said Alan

« Yes I am.  Do you want to come in my sleigh ? »

« Oh yes, I would like it so much !  »

Santa Claus asked the reindeers to take the child home.  The sleigh arose in the sky and flew over the clouds.  Alan was astonished at seeing the sleigh in the sky. He saw in front of him eight reindeers running in the sky.  He looked over and saw many stars. Santa Claus gave other instructions to the reindeers and they began to go down.  Now Alan could see the landscape with houses, roads and several other details.  Santa Claus landed the sleigh behind the child’s home. Alan said « thank you for helping me and for bringing me back home.»

Santa Claus said : « You’re welcome.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for you and your family bye bye»

The next morning when Alan woke up, he got out of his bed and ran to tell his dream to his grandfather.
