Insomnia

Close my eyes and count the sheep
But I will never be able to sleep in peace.
A nightmare falls on this poor town.
My entire world is falling down in ashes.

Toss and turn and stare at the wall,
Waiting for the angels to call me home.
Stuck behind steel bars of a cage,
I cannot control this rage I have.

Love hurts too much for me
Like dying from a bee stinging you.
Where is that adrenaline shot??
To retain my life, I have fought so hard.
