A simple little hello arrived
We started with the "get to know you" stuff
And soon our friendship grew
You got to know me and I learned of you
We shared our goals, dreams and ambitions
A day would not go by without us looking for each other
The time we talked grew longer and longer
Pretty soon we were no longer chatting on screen
But we took that step and talked voice to voice
You learned when I was scared
You knew when I was happy
Hours would go by and it was never enough
Then came the day we met face to face
Both of us nervous
Both of us excited
Spending days together allowed us to learn
The deepness of our souls and that it was meant to be
But due to reality we could not forge ahead
I left you there and both of us cried
Distance still holds us apart and reality too
I feel you pulling away from me
And my heart is broken into two
Then you say things that bring me hope
But reality hits again
As much as we want each other
I have come to conclude that this may never be
The calls are gone
The typing has faded
The simple litte hello has departed.
