Originally from the Shenandoah
Valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia,
somewhere
in the flat plains of Oklahoma, there lived a young boy named Jas Henry.
(as (as his Father called him, short for James, after his maternal grandfather,
(back when
abbreviation of this sort was a 40% reduction in hand typesetting labor)
was born at an early age.
He continued into teen age in music compositon and theory, applied theory with Howard Roberts of M.I. in L.A. and harmony and arranging with the Berklee College of Music.
After performing as a session musician on and member of the prog
rock group Panorama, he recorded with The Fanatics the college
radio favorite "Figures of Speech."
Jas has shared the middle stage with
Mark O'Connor, Steve Morse (Dixie Dregs) and Aerosmith's Joe Perry. Former students include Brad Pitt, members of Smashing
Pumpkins' label group Chainsaw Kittens, Jesse Davis of The Nixons
and Bart Connor, the Olympic Gold Medalist.
Having authored a
comprehensive ear training and theory system for guitarists, Jas has transcribed for Cherry Lane Music along with recording almost new age solo
acoustic guitar CD, "Anniversary."
Now in this Advanced age, there
are a number of reprints of the anals of history from this illustrious
career
here for
