April 21, 2003 - Sangria and Sarsaparilla

Ahhhh... micro is finally over. I HOPE! gosh. Test was today and I've been studying like mad for the past two weeks... I really hope that my brain doesn't follow a diminishing marginal returns graph... see - I guess micro is good for something, if only to be able to type about it on my website. So, I'm just happy it's over. Macro next, then geography which is such a joke. I went to lunch with Marianne, where we saw this guy who is in our econ classes, he lives in my building, and I think I know him from somewhere else but I don't know where! It's odd like that. Anyways, I went home and Selina and I went swimming downstairs. We've gotten her onto this whole exercise thing! Crazy, I know. My arms are so toned now... I've been on this fruit and exercise kick for the past... three days now. I give it another week, then I'll cave.

This doesn't, however, mean that I've cut Oreos out of my diet - that's an essential food - packed with brown and white food groups. I got into this discussion with Selina yesterday who didn't believe me. You have to eat all of your color groups to be healthy - at least that's what my sis told me and she's doing her masters/PhD so she knows what she's talking about. She's the one who also told me you spelled 'Socks' S-O-X and look at the Boston Red Sox - they've got it the right way! ANyways, I found another food that goes in the blue group apart from blueberries and blue cheese (which isn't really blue unless you leave it for a really long time).... *drumroll* BLUE LOLLIPOPS! Yep... I remember we used to have this joke in high school... "Blow a smurf today?" Oh my gosh, speaking of high school, my friend Jessica just gave birth!!!! Her newly born daughter, Sofia is GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see her... I don't know when though. I can't believe it... Jess is 20! I'm gonna be 20 this summer - it really makes you think. But don't worry - not for long! :) Ahh, summer.

So then I went running to Harbourfront again with Marianne. We tried to drag Selina along with us last time, and she did quite well for her first bout of exercise in awhile! All the way to Queen St - that's guts! Especially going with us lunatics. So now I'm feeling all exercised. I'm not so sure about this whole endorphins making you feel happy stuff but it's sure working on my psychological state! Fresh orange juice from fine foods on the way back - $2.49. SO GOOD. Umm... let's see. Ooh! Steven is definitely coming to visit in May... and I got an email from Caroline in Montreal who said that I will have a place to stay when I go up this weekend! Ahhhhh, vacation, how I need you. *pause* haha.. was just admiring my newly toned arms. Swimming will do that to you! I gotta buckle down again tomorrow bright and early and study some macro but I am definitely taking the rest of the night off. Sappy movies and trashy books, here I come!
