June 18, 2003 - The Elegant Garage Sale

Oh man, can you believe it - there is actually a store in Toronto called "The Elegant Garage Sale". CLASSIC. Here's the address for anyone who is interested in such a concept: 1588 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON M4G 3B7, Ph: (416)322-9744. It's up near Hollywood Gelato. So, lunch with Mel and Justin on Sunday morning was so good - we went to a place called Maggie's on College at Bathurst. They have all-day breakfast and even a vegan and vegetarian menu - yay Joy and June! Anyways... stuffed french toast with peanut butter and bananas in maple syrup, with fresh fruit! I was in heaven. Then I had to waddle my ass into Jacob to take someone's shift. Went running... then Monday I had geography followed by some shopping at Jacob (two skirts and lots of underwear!!!)... went to the gym and then met Melly at Munk Centre where I did some reading outside in the garden and got myself a bit of a tan. We went for dinner with Joy and June that night at Matahari Grill, then I had to take someone's shift on Tuesday morning... followed by statistics class and finally working out at harthouse again but with Joy and June that night. 20 min on treadmill - we're training for a 5km run in September... yay! 10 on the eliptical machine and 10 on the stairmill... lots of situps and heaps of stretching. It's become addictive, this exercise "thing". Ooh! And Melly and I had pancakes for dinner last night. She is the queen of pancakes, I bow down to her (and her Bisquick instant pancake mix).

Then today I had three hours of class, worked a shift and now i'm here sitting in the sun at my desk. I get to go driving tomorrow!!! SO EXCITED. and it's Melly's birthday tomorrow too... happy birthday girlie! And we're going to go and have dessert tonight - it'll be her first meal of the "20th year"... lots of chocolate. So I get in the mail today (not addressed to me explicitly...):

THE ALLIED NETWORK:A better way to meet someone special

Is this a sign??? Hmm. considering that everyone in my building probably got one too, I think not. But it's amusing nonetheless. Besides, I don't need help - as I left Jacob I took my phone out to change the ring and some guy started yelling his number out to me.. 416-509... yep. Okay fine so I'm beyond help. OH well, shit happens. haha...

So I got these from Lorien the other day:
