General Tactics For Chaos

The Chaos army remains the most powerful army in the game. It has all the quirks from the last addition only with alot more speed and variety. It is still the best stand and shoot em up army but you can use troops like raptors, bikes, and obliterators to provide you with some versatitlity. Their terminators may not be as powerful as they were in second edition ( which is why chaos's support isn't so great) but what the terminators lack other elites such as thousand sons and plague marines make up for it in other ways. It also is extremely useful to be able to take elites as troops choices by giving your lord a mark of the appropriate god. Your best bet is to take terminators in your retinue and use elites as troops and have them supported with a dreadnought or predator. It is very easy to abuse chaos and use it's potential to the max. But you've go to realize that playing chaos isn't all about winning. It's about the look and atmosphere of your army. If you want to win everytime take a army of tanks from the imperial guard. Have fun with your army and try and have a themed army. Themed armies are much more fun to play and adds alot of flavour to your army. Popular themes are Nurgle infested armies , Khornate armies , Night Lords, and so forth.
