Me and The Wind

Parting is such sweet sorrow
I now find this true.
For now my friends are gone
And I miss them so much.

I recall the bad with the good times
I realize now I would take them both
If I could only get back the friendship
We promised with such an oath

Now that I know they have left me
I sit with the silence alone
We both have something in common
Abandoned, forsaken, alone

And now that they're gone I wish them back
But I know they're gone forever
For friends like these are hard to please
And don't return to such disgraceful behavior

So I sit with the wind
And we talk to each other
Telling our tales of sorrow
We are alone and forgotten….

Me and the wind together
