As soon as the dragon sets you down he flies off leaving you alone on a hilltop. You wonder how you will get back to the castle. As you look around you see a herd of what looks like horses running over the plains below the hills. When the animals draw closer you see that they are not horses but unicorns. As they run past you, you jump on one of their backs and are carried away. As you ride on the back of the unicorn he tells you of the many stories about his kind.

Unicorns are powerful steeds with their coats being pure white. They have long silky white hair that flows from their mane, and also from near their hoofs. Their horns usually grows to be 2-3 feet in length and is a ivory white hue. You can distinquished males by a white beard under their chin.

Unicorns are very evasive creatures and they protect the forest in which they live. They cannot die by normal means, but when they are captured by human hands it usually breaks their spirit, and they easily die...

Unicorns can sence when someone is evil and wishes to do harm to them or the forest. They let travelers pass through their guarded lands as long as they aren't killing the animals for sport or money, and as long as no evil is done to the forest. By violating either of these two rules will bring the unicors wrath don on you. This can result in many things including death.

A lone unicorn occasionally allows itself to be tamed and ridden by a maiden of pure heart. A unicorn that submits in this way and that is treated kindly will be loyal for the rest of its life, even unto death if need be.

~*~Unicorns on Chronus~*~ The creatures time forgot, The ones God left behind. They bring your dreams at night And in the day they haunt your mind. They're waiting in a place, A place you cannot find. A place that's in your future Yet a place you left behind. By: Katie Hallahan In the sea, the fish have learned to fly, On a moonlit night, on wings of silver, As the enchanted stars sail serenely by, Do they know? Where do unicorns go? Where winged horses fly? Narwhals lost at sea, and never seen again, Go, go and ask the magpie, "Where do unicorns go?" In the trees, the birds have learned to speak, Many colored, they keep their secrets, in a parade of clouds, Playing hide and seek, do they know? Where do unicorns go? Where winged horses fly? Narwhals lost at sea, and never seen again, Does myth and mystery lie, Where the unicorns go? From: The Last Unicorn ~*~The Unicorn~*~ He hides by day, and searches by night. The last known unicorn, with the coat of angelic white. It's almost as if he's magic, the prosseessor of powers unknown. He keeps the hope of finding another, but he is painfully alone. Being seen by mankind, would mean instant death. Due to life's attained ignorance, they would take his last breath. He wants so badly to nuzzle, close to someone safe and warm. But this hope slowly fades, as does night with the coming morn. He remains forever brave, and holds his head high. Sometimes on a quiet night, you can hear his mournful cry. He will continue his search, until his dying day. The majestic and beautiful unicorn, who is perfect in every way. By: Marlene Bucci
