During his teen years Blaine was involved in music as a member of the group that provided liturgical music at his church. While conducting a parish children's choir in University he and his high school friend Larry Flynn created and produced a recording of the songs they had written to entertain the choir members. It was released in 1984. He and Larry toured with this music for several years after this when they had begun teaching in classrooms in the Toronto area. In 1995 Blaine collected the music he had continued to write in the primary classrooms he had been teaching in and released Yearning for Learning with the help of other music teachers in his school board and the owner of the local music store where he lived. He is a music teacher at a local elementary school where he has written a recorder music and ukelele program for grades 3-6. Blaine can be reached at his email
