The Road of Love

When I started down this road of love
It was dark and winding
My only guide was my inner light
A light of Hope and Faith
Given me by the Lord above

Then the Road of Love brought me to you
And the sun arose on my path
And I saw it was straight and narrow
Parallelling yours
With that dawn my life started anew.

I was blinded by that light
I could not see our paths growing apart

Now I travel down this road of love
It is dark and winding
My only guide is my inner light
