Shades of Scott

From bright with joy,
To dark with pain,
The shades of Scott are many and varied,
But from this...knowledge of me you will gain.

Humor and joy is my happiness
These are the brightest in my life
With every laugh or smile i bring
I grow knowing i have shared the brightness

Lonliness and pain is my dark side
How to fill the void?
How to fix the pride?
For now, there are only walls.
A safe place for my pain to hide

Colors of me you may ask?
To truly define me is a difficult task.

Through the walls my inner light still shines,
Hoping, searching for the person
Who wants to see inside.

What will she see inside me?
She will see....
Happiness,
Joy,
Laughter,
Tears,
Pain,
Loneliness,
Anger,
Forgiveness,
Trust,

Most of all, what she will see,
Is the light that burns bright in me,
I have given this light a name
Simply...
I call my light hope.
