No one ever intends for it to end this way
But when it does we find hurt and feel dismay
Suddenly what was happiness dissolves to sorrow
You think that it will last far beyond tomorrow

Your good feelings are crushed replaced with deep pain
You can't look past the suffering, but must remain sane
The grand plans you felt, that were written in the stars
Sent crashing down, in flames, as if landing on Mars

Your eyes swell with tears as you realize your loss
For your Love has been cast away, a careless toss
Your stomach in shambles, twisted in unbearable knots
You can feel grief creep through your body as your heart rots

A pledge that you will never let this happen again
An empty promise that you will break, you just don't know when
Each time you think of what might have been, it sure does sting
What could you have done different, would you change anything

The agony can swallow you whole, if you don't watch out
It can put you at wits end, even make you want to shout
You must put your foot down, retake control of your heart
To realize you can Love again, is a quite healthy start

You give of yourself something so precious so unique
With your soul on the line, your true Love you now seek
The knowledge you have obtained of utmost importance
So begin your new search, fulfill your needs at once.
