Net Love Is Fleeting

It begins with the usual, where are you from
How old are you, what do you do, and more ho-hum
Now we get down to business and learn what we need
But be weary of your emotions a warning to heed

With each conversation you grow closer in mind
A mutual feeling for each other you may find
You learn of each others lives and daily routine
And may find that your beliefs together are keen

You grow really close and feel you know each other
She feels deeply for him, he feels deeply for her
So the time is right to finally meet and to know
Just because you want it, may not let it be so

As the days grow closer to this momentous event
You may show signs of cold feet, may even repent
But brush aside those fears and embrace what you want
You have enjoyed the chase, but does this end your hunt

But something is wrong, she decides to call it quits
The pain is quick and sharp, as terrible as it gets
The excuse she gives, makes no rhyme or reason
No way you can fight it, for the deed is quite done

You may only find solice in the fact you did learn
So she was not the one, it was just not your turn
No time for pity, pick yourself up and look around
True Love in plain view, for you, just waiting to be found.
