Rollercoaster

How can it be, that those that say they Love us so
Can in the blink of an eye, change from friend to foe
We trust them with our hearts, and our bodies we give
Wishing only to share, the true way for one to live
But they betray our trust, and through pain we do see
And yes we do know, it's not how it's meant to be
We believe them when they say how much they do care
They will not do it again, they adamantly swear

For a time the falseness of their Love does shine through
And when it fades to darkness, we're not without a clue
They try to blame us for the cruel deeds they inflict
And though sometimes we feel like our spirit has been licked
We rise from the ashes of shattered dreams and dismay
Hoping they will come to their senses, may they find the way
Once the ordeal is over, they beg for forgiveness
Upon any relationship, this would bring added stress

Now one may be lead to question, why do we stay with them
Or shall we just abandon, a relationship to condemn
But Love makes you feel that all, one day, will be right
Which makes others wonder, when will you see the light
Yes, we hate the suffering that we must endure
And somewhere lies an answer, our little cure
Here is a simple warning, for those who impose pain
One day you will be repaid with the utmost disdain.
