 Welcome to my site, which is intended to promote physical activity through the use of the skipping rope.
 I am presenting you the basics of skipping through tutorial lessons. So, you can develop the ability to skip on your own using the techniques I am providing to you.
 Also, I am promoting the skipping rope that I manufacture myself and that I consider to be the fastest skipping rope presently on the market (this is the only place you can buy it so far).

jumping, skipping, rope, fitness, equipment, boxing, exercice, exercicing  Hi, my name is René. I live in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. I am a computer software programmer during the day and I workout for my own leisure at night. Two days out of three I do my cardiovascular exercise using my skipping rope. I have been skipping now for some 23 years, so I know what skipping is about. I enjoy exercising and I do it every day. Sometimes, I take a day off :). My workouts consist partly of cardiovascular exercises and partly of muscular exercises using free weights and strength training machines. I normally complete my workouts with some stretching routines.

  I believe that people interested in getting in better shape could profit from using the skipping rope. From a cardiovascular stand point of view, this is as good as or even better than running, swimming and other fancy machines found in gyms. It's great for coordination, too. At first, you might find it hard to last more than a few minutes. As time goes on and as you practice, you will see improvement in your techniques and in your fitness level. Eventually, you will be able to last more than twenty minutes and you will do some pretty nifty tricks you never thought you could do.

 Of course, you can buy any rope that is out there and you would improve your jumping skills and your fitness level but I am certain that the technical specifications of my skipping rope will convince you to use this one. I love the rope that I created because it's very fast and easy to manipulate when comes the time to do tricks with it. You will enjoy it and if you are like me, you will get that thrill when you tell yourself: "Last time I did 500 single jumps; this time I'll try for 550 or 600 " or "Last time I skipped for 5 minutes now I'll go for 7 or 8 minutes". Last summer, I beat my own little personal record which was achieved 3 or 4 years ago at 2000 double-turns(2 rope rotations for each jump). Now, my new record is 3200 double-turns. I do not know whether I can beat that performance or when but I will try again. I have also skipped for two hours once.

 My first piece of advice is to begin with the beginning and set yourself some little goals that you can achieve. You will be proud once you reach them. And, don't forget: this is fun stuff! Put some stimulating music on and enjoy the ride.
