Well here we are near the end of the regular season. With only about a month before the Big Dance, IU has played some great games and some not-so-great games. They still haven't been able to maintain a spot in the top 25, but I think they have proven to be a good team. They split the season with Purdue, with a win at home 88-94, and a loss at West Layfette 89-94. Both of these games were GREAT games to watch and I think IU surprised some people by making it that close, most of all Gene Keady.
There have been some surprises in the Big Ten so far this year. Number one being Michigan State at the top with a 10-1 record in the conference. Not that Michigan State is a bad team, they're not. It's just everyone thought Purdue and Iowa would be leading the pack. Speaking of Iowa, they have just dissappeared during conference play. What happened guys? Michigan, another powerhouse in the Big Ten seems to be haveing a good year, but not a great year. Illinois is playing sound basketball for the first time in a few years. And then there is lowely Ohio State. They are still looking for their first win in the Big Ten. IU should have a fairly easy ending to their regular season with one exception, Michigan.
IU's season started off not like most of us would have like to have seen, with a 9-3 record going into the Big Ten. The season has already had it's ups and downs, as well as, controversy with Jason Collier leaving, if you want to call it that. IU didn't start the season off consistant with a loss to Hawaii. However they did prove that they can hold their own against Kentucky. Even though they lost, they played very well and like a team, with a little more experience, could do very will at the Big Dance in March. But now it's time for IU to prove that they belong in the top 25. I have added an area with the Big Ten Standings. This page will be devoted to the Hoosier's basketball season, their schedule, and information about the members of the team. I hope to maintain the site religously throughout the season giving you scores to all the IU games. I also have listed, the scores to all the games going on in the Big Ten. I have listed the Associated Press Top 25, as well as CNN/USA Today's Top 25. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions, comments and suggestions. I hope you find the page enjoyable and informative.
If you would like me to add a link to your IU page, or any page for that matter, just e-mail me and I'll take a look at your page. All that I ask is that you reply with a link here.
My interest in IU basketball is huge, but that is not my only passion. Click here to go to my original Homepage.
