Kerry Morgans Results

The results of the breeding farm show how closely one has come to one's goals. We proudly present our results:
Kerry Eire

Applevale Replica x Big Bend June Morn

Foaled 1975

"Tinker" was one of the earliest of the Morgans with the Kerry prefix. A naturally gifted mare, she won several park harness championships in much less than pleasure limits. Tinker produced 2 geldings and 4 daughters (Queen Thou Art, Exquisite, Tinkertoy, and Custom Maid) for us.

Kerry Queen Thou Art

JJ's Monarch x Kerry Eire

Foaled 1984

QT is the first daughter of Tinker and has always been known for her exquisite head. She is one of those Morgans that can be left for years as a broodmare in pasture and when saddled will perform as if she had been worked regularly. The dam of 5 Kerry foals.

Kerry Erin Go Bragh

JJ's Monarch x Kerry Tam O'Shanter

Foaled 1985

Erin is pictured at 2 years of age. He won many hand championships for us as a junior horse and sired one filly before being sold to Mike Zabroski as his pleasure horse. That filly, Woodshed Spirit, is the dam of our Kerry Xcaliber as well as our Kerry Aria, and Kerry Showpiece. Erin spent his last days in the state of Oregon where he is a jr. exhibitor pleasure horse.

KerryTinkertoy

JJ's Monarch x Kerry Eire

Foaled 1984

Toy is the product of two park harness champions and received their high free natural motion along with a quick turnover which would make her a great roadster. She is the dam of Kerry Toybox by Wynne Commotion.

Kerry Colleen

Chantwood Charterson x Fantasy's Melodee
Foaled 1986

Colleen was Shannon's graduation present and has been her foundation mare and friend. She has been a winning show mare (in hand, English pleasure and park saddle) and has carried Shannon on trail rides, in parades, to marshall harness races, English, western and side saddle. Dam of 6 foals - the geldings Kerry B So Bold and Kerry Notorious (both by Aries B), Kerry Promotion (by Wynne Commotion), her lovely daughter Kerry Irish Lass (by Kerry Xcaliber), the sharp bay 2000 colt Kerry Top The Chart (by Kerry Freedom) and a beautiful bay filly by Medomak Sea Splendor for Mary Lou Johnson. Unfortuneately, we lost Colleen in the spring of 2005 but Shannon looks forward to carrying on with her daughter Irish.

Kerry Cailin

Chantwood Charterson x Kerry Tiara

Foaled 1986

Cailin was also a champion show mare. Though trained to ride English and western and drive, her greatest contribution has been as a broodmare. Her first was a son by Wynne Commotion (Kerry Eclipse), she then gave us our young breeding stallion Kerry Freedom and his lovely sister Kerry Airalee (by Aries B) and finally Kerry Caitlyn by Kerry B Quest. Having decided to keep 3 of Cailin's foals, we let her go to Cathy Bokhari, for whom she produced a big chestnut 1998 filly by Kerry Promotion and a nice bay 1999 filly by Lipdon Dapper Don. She was on lease Pheasant Run Morgans for whom she has produced a lovely bay filly by Medomak Sea Splendor in 2003. Cailin is owned by Beth Taylor in IL.

Kerry War Chant

Chantwood Charterson x Kerry Creation

Foaled 1988

War Chant was the barn clown - always getting into trouble. Curiousity killed the cat because "Stretch" stepped on it getting there first. While not the best showhorse we ever raised, Stretch was great for Civil War Re-enacting (his response to guns being fired around him was, "oh, look at the pretty smoke!") and wonderful in parades with kids hugging all four of his legs and patting his belly. Stretch is now doing his all-time favorite thing - being a trail horse for his new owner.

Kerry Cheers

Chantwood Charterson x Kerry Queen Thou Art

Foaled 1988

Cheers was the first foal out of "QT" and won several hand championships for us. However, when it came time to train her we were stumped for she didn't have the motion for saddleseat and didn't want to be a western horse. Cheers has since found her niche in the dressage and hunter/jumper world with her new owner. We have been told that noted dressage instructors say she has the most beautiful natural dressage gaits they have seen in a long time.

Kerry Hallelujah

Tara's Hallmark x Kerry Cherish
Foaled 1989

"Holly" has always been one of our favorites. Blessed with high light free motion, she has passed it on to each of her three foals, the lovely Kerry Airatude and the class A champion Kerry Arrogance, both sired by Serendipity Aries B. Her 1998 foal, by Kerry Freedom, is a lovely black filly who can be seen on our results page. We like this filly so well that Holly was bred back to Freedom resulting in the big bay colt Kerry Freestyle in 2001 and the beautiful light bay filly Kerry Bay in 2002. Holly is now owned by Jim and Lynn Butler of Davis, IL.

Kerry Markessa

Tara's Hallmark x Kerry Tiara

Foaled 1989

Markessa is the dam
of the beautiful champion stallion Kerry Aristocrat,
our own Kerry Arabesque,
and Kerry B Spangled (all by Aries B).
Though trained for western pleasure and a great trail horse, her only showings won her blue ribbons in hand. Now a foundation mare for Terry and Janice Simpson where she is being bred to their Kerry B Sharp.

Kerry Hallogram

Tara's Hallmark x Kerry Queen Thou Art

Foaled 1990

"Jeffry" is the son of a good western pleasure mare
and a stallion who sired a legion of western pleasure champions.
Can't you just picture this head wearing silver?
He is now a "Morgan Pathways"
mount in Indiana.

Kerry Ariel

Serendipity Aries B x Fantasy's Melodee

Foaled 1991

Ariel was our first foal by Aries and is still one of Sharon's favorites. Shown in hand to championships, she also rides and has done many parades, trail rides and marshalled harness races. We are excited about her 1998 bay filly Kerry X-Rated by Kerry Xcaliber (now owned by Logan & Gina Hyatt in MI)and her 1999 bay colt Kerry Double Stuff by Kerry Freedom (now owned by Shadowlands Morgans in PA). Her bay 2000 colt by Kerry Freedom (Kerry Free To B) went to New York state to Liz Willaims. Ariel also has a beautiful bay filly (Kerry The Tempest), the 2003 bay colt Kerry Killarney and a bay 2004 filly for Beth and Gary Taylor of IL, all also sired by Freedom.

Kerry B So Bold

Serendipity Aries B x Kerry Colleen

Foaled 1991

A former hand champion for Shannon
who also won for her in English pleasure and western pleasure as well as doing sidesaddle and driving,
he is now a beautiful gelding
who happily plays caretaker to a little girl.

Kerry Arabella

Serendipity Aries B x Kerry Queen Thou Art

Foaled 1993

Bella is now a foundation mare for Cathy Bokhari
of Paw Paw, IL, and has produced a nice bay colt in 1998 by Kerry Freedom that can be seen below.

Kerry B Sharp

Serendipity Aries B x Kerry Cheers
Foaled 1993

B Sharp has been shown lightly in hand and has done extremely well with several blue ribbons to his credit. He is now the herd sire for Terry and Janice Simpson's new breeding farm near Sterling, IL.

Kerry Airatude

Serendipity Aries B x Kerry Hallelujah

Foaled 1994

"Trudy" earned her name as a newborn - Aires with an attitude. Though small, Trudy was the bravest of her year. It was always hilarious to watch the 2 big colts (Promotion and B Quest) trying to hide behind little Trudy when the "boogeyman" approached. Blessed with "snorty proud" attitude, high light motion and a kind dispostion, Trudy is now the love of Nancy Bailey's life in Michigan.

Kerry Airatude

Serendipity Aries B x Kerry Hallelujah

Foaled 1994

Here Trudy is pictured at her first ever show at the age of 10 years. She is shown winning the aged mares in hand class at the Michigan Futurity Show.

Kerry Aristocrat

Serendipity Aries B x Kerry Markessa
Foaled 1994

This picture of Risty was taken at 3 months of age. He has now left Illinois for the warm, sunny skies of Arizona.

Kerry Promotion

Wynne Commotion x Kerry Colleen
Foaled 1994 - Photo at 3 Years

Promotion is much like his nationally known sire and has inherited his attitude and "look of eagles". His dam is a champion daughter of Chantwood Charterson and "Tony" has received the trainability of this line. His first foals are lovely fillies (a dark chestnut filly from Kerry Cailin for Neil and Cathy Bokhari and a bay from PWF Starlite Sonata for Beth and Steve Smith). Tony is now owned by the Bokhari's Windy Creek Farm.

Kerry Toybox

Wynne Commotion x Kerry Tinkertoy

Foaled 1994

Another member of the largest ever Kerry foal crop.

Toybox is a small mare but she has inherited her dam's high natural motion.

Kerry B Quest

Serendipity Aries B x Fantasy's Melodee
Foaled 1994 - Photo as a Yearling

"Bubba" took over where "Stretch" left off. His antics kept us - and sometimes him - in stitches. We always claimed that if we could keep Bubba in one piece long enough he'd do well in the showring with his conformation, high light motion and attitude - and he did. After a winning yearling year, he was undefeated in his two year old year and brought home several championships. Disaster struck that September as he suffered a twisted intestine and died on the operating table. Bubba left the Morgan world a total of 6 foals. We have retained all 3 born here.

Kerry Showpiece

Serendipity Aries B x Woodshed Spirit
Foaled 1995

Who could resist this face?

A gelded full brother to Kerry Xcaliber,(and the only chestnut from the cross) now being used as a personal pleasure horse in Arkansas.

Kerry B Loved

Serendipity Aries B x Merryweather Gift B
Foaled 1996 - Photo at 2 Year

B Loved is, to our knowledge, the last foal of Aries B. She was born in August and is out of the Windcrest Bob B daughter, Merryweather Gift B. She is a much loved mare of Jim and Lynn Butler of Davis, IL.

Kerry X-Rated

Kerry Xcaliber x Kerry Ariel
Foaled 1998 - Photo at 3 Months

"Exie" is the first double Aries B foal we have raised. She has received her sire's looks and motion. She has been purchased by Logan and Gina Hyatt of Marshfire Farm in Michigan who also now own Chantwood Charterson.

The Liberty Bell (raf)

Kerry Freedom x Kerry Arabella

Foaled 1998 - Photo at 3 Months

Bred by Kerry, this little guy was born the property of Neil and Kathy Bokhari of Windy Creek Farm, Paw Paw, IL. He is another well-loved family pleasure horse.

Kerry On

Kerry B Quest x Tara's Cotillion

Foaled 1997 - Photo at 2 Years

"Ditto" is our only colt by the deceased Kerry B Quest (Serendipity Aries B x Fantasy's Melodee). Having a truly great and gorgeous dam also helps. The type and attitude displayed by this young stallion is inspiring. He is the sweetest, gentlest stallion to handle while still having all the presence and attitude of a showhorse. We have very high hopes for his future.

Kerry Caitlyn

Kerry B Quest x Kerry Cailin

Foaled 1997 - Photo at 5 Years

"Cat" is much like her champion dam but inherited more size from her sire. She, along with her five half siblings, proves to us just how much we lost with the death of Kerry B Quest. Caitlyn is now the owner of and the love of Sara Taylor's life.

Unnamed Filly

Kerry Freedom x Kerry Hallelujah

Foaled 1998 - Photo at 2 Months

Also bred by Kerry and sold in utero,
this black filly is owned by Ray Barker
of Rockford, Illinois. She represents
3 generations of Kerry breeding
on her dam's side and
5 generations of Kerry breeding
on her sire's side - with no inbreeding!!!

Kerry Vision

Kerry Freedom x Tara's Cotillion

Foaled 1999

A filly out of Cotillion! Needless to stay we were ecstatic! On top of this she is exquisite and gets more lovely - and more like her dam - every day. Due to an unplanned adventure, Vision produced the gorgeous headed Kerry Love Child (sired by Kerry Xcaliber) in February, 2002. Vision has been sold to Debbie Fairbanks of Monticello, WI.

Kerry Double Stuff

Kerry Freedom x Kerry Ariel
Foaled 1999 - Photo at 3 Months

Double Stuff is a 3/4 brother to X-Rated. He has the size, quality and look we had hoped for from this cross. He is with Rebecca Roberts of Shadowlands Morgans in PA as a future sport horse/herd sire.

Kerry Free To B

Kerry Freedom x Kerry Ariel

Foaled 2000 - Photo at 1 Year

Once again we have doubled up on the blood of Aries B with outstanding results. With his sire'soutstanding head and neck and his dam's size and motion, he is everything we had hoped for from this cross and is getting nicer with age. He is now with Liz Williams in Florida and is destined to be a dressage and sport horse.

Kerry Top The Chart

Kerry Freedom x Kerry Colleen

Foaled 2000 - Photo at 2 years

"Topper" is a grandson and great-grandson of Chantwood Charterson and seems to have inherited Grandpa's motion along with the prettiness of his sire. Combined with his "puppy dog" disposition that just makes you want to hug him, Topper is truly a prize.

Kerry Freestyle

Kerry Freedom x Kerry Hallelujah

Foaled 2001 - Photo at 4 months

Freestyle was as pretty and talented as he was bred to be.
Lost as a yearling due to a twisted
intestine, I am still grieving over him.

Kerry Diva

Kerry Freedom x Kerry Aria

Foaled 2001 - Photo at 2 years

Yet another double Aries grandchild.
On top of her conformation, high light motion and type,
she is amongst the sweetest foals to be found.
Now a winning westrn pleasure horse in Canada.

Kerry The Tempest
Kerry Freedom x Kerry Ariel
Foaled 2002 - Photo at 3 months - Red Bay

Yet another double Aries grandchild.
A full sister to the sport horse stallion prospects Kerry Double Stuff and Kerry Free To B, Tempi has been chosen as one of Debbie Fairbanks' foundation mares for her Minglewood Farm in WI.

Kerry Top Hat
Kerry Freedom x Kerry Aria
Foaled 2003 - Photo at 3 months - Dark Chestnut w/Flaxen Mane & Tail

A full brother to Kerry Diva and one of the best colts
we have ever raised. Topper is the breeding stallion for Chris and Denielle Peters' Overtime Morgans in IL.

Kerry Killarney
Kerry Freedom x Kerry Ariel
Foaled 2003 - Photo at 3 months - Bay

A full brother to Kerry Double Stuff, Kerry Free To B, and Kerry The Tempest
He has a rear end that is becoming rare in the breed and is destined to excel in the sport horse world like his siblings. Killarney has been purchased by Stacy Stearns of Storrs, Connecticut, as her future dressage horse.

Kerry Fawn
Kerry Freedom x Kerry The Spirit
Foaled 2003 - Photo at 2 years - Brown

The first foal of her lovely dam and are we pleased!
Fawn has found a loving new home with Doris Norton of WI.
