Alone in a room of gray
Together with myself
Losing all color and light
Finding a hole in my soul
Filling it with jellybeans and cashews

A tiny being and a flower bright
Come and swirl around and smile
They pacify me for awhile
Beaming bright a sheer delight

Where can I run to spare disgrace
Where can I hide to save this face
Is this an asylum from the dark
Am I looking for a wanton spark

To crush the silence of a heart
To dash the hidden evil dark
You smile and clouds depart
And I am back to rainbow's end
