Rainbow's Child

Running fast and running wild
Colors trail you rainbow's child
Full of hope and born to thrive
Like the bush you will survive

Winnowed harsh and never broken
Hurt and crushed yet still outspoken
Edges tumbled in the strife
Now smoothed and full of life

Intense colors of the wind
Shine producing heavens blend
Shiver sweetly warm with me
See the one that others see

In the shadow of the sun
Know that shadows hide no one
Rest within our caring keep
Live within my heart so deep
