A love so rare the angles sigh in wonder
Tenderness so soft goose down rests in it
Feelings so strong no chain can hold them
 Laughter so loud the mountains shake

 When you are here I live
 When you sigh I cry
 There is no river of tears
Because you are always in my heart

 There is no commitment like the heart's
No love like the love that expects so little
The earth can move and your love stands firm
Your world can burn and you are safe with me

Together we are safe from the storm
 In each other's hearts we fear nothing
We soar alone and yet we always touch wingtips
 We love apart yet never lose the way to each other

 Your days are fast arriving
 The day you came to the world
And the celebration of those you brought
Special days full of feeling and hope

The new lives you gave the world are precious
They are seeds of your love that will grow
To watch them blossom is your reward for love
To miss their smiles is my deep loss

 Together one day when we talk
I will see those smiles and know true happiness
 I will then have a taste of heaven in my smiling soul
And say "It was a sweet favor to know you for awhile"
