Astounding X-Men

Legion Legion:The son of Charles Xavier and Gabrielle Haller, David Haller is a mutant of many powers. While already possesing vast telekenetic, and pyrotenchnic powers, David is also a latent telepath and time-traveler. On this world he is the leader of the "red" X-Men squad.
Storm Storm: On this world, Storm was rescued from the wastelands of Africa by a myserious man named Bishop. He raised her as his own, traing her in the same techniques he had learned in the X.S.E. Storm has almost no limitations and is perhaps the most ruthless member of the "red" team.
Karma Karma: Xi'an Coy Manh, Karma, has the mutant ability to control others actions. She used this power to get by until she ran afoul of a pair of Phalanx masquerading as humans. Luckily Storm and Nightcrawler were able to come to her aid, later prompting her to join the X-Men's "red" squad.
Colossus Colossus: Piotr Rasputin is another mutant who was taken under the wing of Bishop at a very early age. Bishop, seeking out Colossus and his siblings, found Piotr alone, his family long since dead at the hands of Sentinels. Bishop forged Colossus into a warrior of steel, his unmatched strength and ferocity proving an invaluable asset to the X-Men's "red"squad.
Nightcrawler Nightcrawler: Taken away from his gypsy family during his late teens, Kurt Wagner is a mutant with the ability to vanish into shadows and teleport at will. He is also an accomplished swordsman, and carries his "excalibur" with him into every battle.
Thunderbird Thunderbird: Neal Sharra was found by the X-Men during one of the Right's genetic cleansings. After the X-Men rescued Sharra, he pledged himself to their cause, adding his awsome power over flame to the X-Men's "red" squad.
Pyro Pyro: St. John Allerdyce, a former novellist, was revealed to be a mutant during the height of the war between man and mutant. Pyro was subsequently imprisoned in one of the many "mutant camps", until his liberation at the hands of the enigmatic man known as Bishop. Forever grateful, Pyro chose to remain with his new-found savior, becoming a member of the X-Men's "red" squad.
Gateway Gateway: The Aboriginal mutant, known only as Gateway, acts as a link between all the X-Men squads. Although not an active part of any of the squads, Gateway often accompanies the "red" squad on their missions. The exact reason for this remains unknown...
