SEA OF DREAMS.
The sound of the sea on a warm
summers night
The reflection of the moon....
Sometimes shimmering silver
At other times golden
As it dances across the tops of the waves
The warmth of the salty breeze as it
gently caress’s her face
She sits so still
Drawing life giving energy from the crash
of the wave
As the tide ebbs away she sends her
dream with it
Her eyes sparkle and a soft smile comes
to her lips.
She is dreaming of faraway places.
Of a Knight on a beautiful horse.
She does not know him..
She only knows that within his arms.
She will find the safety and love that she
yearns for.
He stops in front of her.
Offers her his hand.
She does not hesitate to give him hers.
Together they ride off on the wings of her
dream.
She is safe in the circle of his arms.
The distant sound of the waves crashing
on the beach.
As the tide comes in.
Brings her back to reality.
A silent tear slides down her cheek.
She remembers it is only a dream.
There is no sadness in her..
As for that moment in time...
She was free.
