Well, let's begin with the fact that my name is, yes, Patrick Conway, I'm 29 (as of February 2001), and have an MA in Classical Archaeology (I wrote my thesis on Roman coinage) at the University of Alberta here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I was born in Chicago, in the U.S.A., on May 25, 1971, but have lived almost all of my life in Canada, and am a Canadian citizen.

As noted above, I have a Master's degree in Classical Archaeology, and, up until a few years ago, was in the habit of spending most of my summers down various holes in the ground in Italia, looking for ancient Roman goodies. With any luck, this program will resume shortly!

I now reside in the city of Edmonton, where I work receiving trade books (those are all the ones that aren't text books) for the University of Alberta Bookstore (warehouse division). Apart from the bookstoring, my recent activities have included turning out as goalkeeper for the mighty F.C. Grasshogs soccer team.

What lies ahead for me is a bit hazy right now - certainly there is a doctorate, or an attempt at one, in my future somewhere, along with (I hope) a good deal more scrabbling in the dirt in foreign parts looking for ancient Roman stuff. We shall see. Back to Patrick Conway's Web Pages.
