Softly, softly...open your heart and mind...I mean you no harm!
In April (1997) I was awakened. I have been taught to venture by a myriad of new friends. The journey has begun. I have met some extraordinary people. Their intellect enlightens and delights.
Walk with me a little...and we will talk.

Hey, Annie boy, Where was the apple poem? Look at your signature, you're obviously an artist, or at least a bunburyist... and the best brand... Why is beauty so ignorant? If a man and a child were crying.... who would you comfort first? The man, right? Wot 'ave ya sold? 'ow much fu'? Mah brits. E-mail me as you write poems, promise. And tell me when you update this page, with a link to here. You should shut up, and let the poesy and piccys speak. And quell that reading ego. Its a writers ego, its. Add add add. Add and write me. (Stop mailing me nude shots of yourself, too. Gnarled fingers are good for Barbie, but what about my Manda bear? Only maybe can she straighten me out. - sound like a confessional? Well maybe, you know already, right? So don' circle. No one asked you to.) Quell that reading ego. Thick steaks and bunbury jam.... (on the floor) Thats my drinking song, naturally. Remember, old woman? Remember? Right, well, then, bye.

I am totally overwhelmed with the exquisiteness of your artwork especially. Your egret painting on this page and on your interactive page bring back fond memories of being stationed near the Everglades in FL (my husband was Air Force at Homestead AFB). especially liked your short-earred owl painting, and your winter onshore and the accompanying poem. I've e-mailed a copy of your home page and paintings page to my cousin who has a business creating magnets, bookmarks etc. mostly using postal service stamps, but she has used some art work, and yours looked like it might be something she could use (a though she may just be sticking (sorry about the pun!) with stamps for now). Anyway she is at http://www.harmonydesigns.com/

----<-@ FOOTPRINTS @->---- One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest t mes in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I d n't understand why when I needed YOU most you would leave me." The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you..During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

You have done a nice job designing your page, I wish at this time I could say the same. Here is one of my brothers short poems, not a picture like you asked, for I haven't any right now, but the entire short poem came from a dream he had, all he had to do was write it down, it's called: Place of Cannibals

I have my Brother,
my father,
and I have my art:
What do you have?

Not the bricks,
the bricks are from them.

P.S. I hope this forms right, or its going to look really out of wack

I hope you received the email I sent you this morning. If you didn't, let me know and I'll try to remember what I said and rewrite it. I enjoyed your poetry: you strike responsive chords that others don't touch. I find it difficult to read poetry and then say I liked one more than another, perhaps because I consider poems good if they express what their writer intended (and possibly more), or if they succeed in stimulating emotions, even if those emotions are not pleasant. Do you think this is not good, to rate or judge on the basis of form rather than content? Do you think this can result in pursuit of form to the expense of content, a charge often made against baroque music? Not all baroque music was empty or of less valu because it was baroque music, either. To tell you the truth, I wish I understood more about the reason why I write poetry, because maybe then I could write better. For now, I write to satisfy some inner drive that never seems to be satisfied for long.
