Quality Starts with Good Dirt

Eating well starts with high-quality food. I am a member of Whistle-Stop Gardens, a CSA in Tunnel, NY which grows wonderful organic vegetables.

A CSA (Community Sponsored Agriculture) helps maintain a healthier relationship between the farmer and the consumer. Grocery-store food is bred to survive shipping, not really for taste (or even nutritional value). And these days, it pays to know where your food comes from, who grows it and what went into it!

As part of the complete cycle of food, I also compost as much as possible. I have done a presentation about this called "Compost Happens!" It's easy to do, generates great mulch for your garden and is good for the long-term health of the environment.
