elcome to The Update Spot

I'm appointing this page as the UPDATE SPOT. This will be where I'll keep all our updates. This is more to keep important dates in our relationship alive to US but also for anyone who cares. Click here to skip updates and continue on with the Enchantment. Other than that, let the Updates begin.

September 29, 1998-- We finally did it! We moved in together! This was Jeremy's DREAM! Why didn't I do it? I wanted to live the single life first. I didn't want to be "tied down" so soon. Why DID I do it? Financially, it only made sense. In all other ways, it only made sense.

October 27, 1998-- Living together is turning out to be a GOOD thing. I still get to go out when I want to. Independence. Better communication. It's hard sometimes because I want things MY way a lot of the time. I try not to be greedy, and Jeremy usually lets me do things my way anyway... It's going well. Would I recommend anyone else doing it? ONLY IF YOU'RE SURE YOU'LL BE WITH THE PERSON FOREVER. Don't do it just to do it. Also, I suggest that you date the person for over a year.

November 5, 1998-- Jeremy and I are doing fine and dandy. I DID need to talk to him about keeping up with his end of the stick as far as chores go. He's improving slowly. I don't MIND doing most of the chores, but I think he should do a portion of them also. We both got our tongues pierced about 2 weeks ago. Is that LOVE or what?!? Haha.

December 9, 1998-- Our tongues our doing fine! Except when I went to take mine off to clean last week, it was stuck! It wouldn't come off!!! So I went to the place where he got his done, and the guy took less that a SECOND to loosen it! Can you imagine?!? As far as US-- I let him get his first Playboy magazine since WE'VE been together. I was so dead set against it because why should he look at it if he has ME? But I was thinking that it's only pictures, what is he going to do, LICK them?!? I don't think so. So, I bought him one and we looked at it together. I don't know if I want this to be a regular thing though.... Christmas is also on its way. We just put up our lights on our balcony--all white! And we're trying to decorate our baby tree--stupid me didn't realize that the new ornaments I bought needed hooks! I got MOST of my shopping done for him, he hasn't even started!

December 20, 1998-- I almost forgot our 2 yr, 7 month anniversary is today! Whoops. Yes, we finally decorated our baby tree! It's mainly silver and gold. Aw. Jeremy is so funny. He finally went out to buy my Christmas presents last night, and he is SO bad at giving me hints or making what he got me plainly OBVIOUS!!! He has a hard time picking out things if I don't put it specifically on a list. I guess it's because I'm so picky. Anyhow. Merry X'mas!

March 20, 1999-- Whoops. I suppose it IS our 2 yr, 10 month anniversary today! I guess when you get beyond two years, you start counting only the years or maybe even 2 1/2 yrs even, but not the months between. Anyhow. We're doing GREAT still. Like every couple, we have our moments, but we've been working on NOT arguing and not getting upset over the little things in life... Besides that, nothing too new here. This year is the year that we're supposed to get engaged! I'll keep you updated with that... It could be in two months or twelve months. We'll see!

May 22, 1999-- GUESS WHAT?!?! Jeremy proposed to me on our third year anniversary on May 20, 1999 at the Olive Garden, one of my favorite restaurants! It all happened last night on our anniversary. His parents came down from Orlando and my parents came too--they went to the Olive Garden. I just got home from work and Jeremy called me from the restaurant and told me to meet him there. I got there and found our parents there, and we ate dinner (fetuccini alfredo for me and the tour of Italy for him!). At the end of dinner, he gave me a box--which had a Pooh bear in it (my favorite!) Pooh was holding a little sign that said "Happy Anniversary Hunny" in one hand, and in the other hand he was holding roses and a little box. I read the card which said, "Will you marry me?" I was sooo embarrassed! In the box was the ring! Of course I said yes!--- The ring is white gold, which I wanted, with a 5/8 round diamond on it... It's too big, so right now, I'm wearing it on a different finger, but I'll be getting it resized hopefully this weekend. So that's that! The wedding probably won't be until 2001. I wanted 2000 originally, but I need TIME to plan and get used to being engaged! So we'll see... If you have any ideas, tips, or advice for a wedding please e-mail me! Other updates: Jeremy is letting his tongue pierce close up--he took it out to clean in and let it soak for an hour--after an hour, he couldn't get the bar back in! Also, let's just say our upstairs neighbors sucks--I've called the police on them 3 times and went to the management 4 times--they're getting evicted! Toby cat got neutered, declawed, and had his shots--he's not too happy right now. Melissa, my sister, graduates this Wednesday. Okay, that's it for now...

June 4, 1999-- Okay, we've decided on a date! Well, for the most part. We'll be married in May 2000, most likely on the 20th. Now for the planning.....! How exciting!

February 6, 2000-- Wow! It's been a while!!! Planning is nearly done for our wedding! We're getting married on May 21, 2000 at four o'clock. The ceremony is outdoors on the river and the reception is indoors. Color is lavendar. I'd post a pic of my wedding dress, but I don't want Jeremy to see it (just in case he decides to stop by here and snoop, which is highly unlikely since he only goes on here to play games on the Internet!). The people standing up for it include my sister Melissa as maid of honor and my friends Liz and Liza as bridesmaids; Jeremy's friend Jerome as the best man and his brother Adam/my brother Jonathan as groomsmen; our cousins Alyssa, Kathryn, and Aliza as flowergirls; and my cousin Michael as the ringbearer. Wish us luck!

March 25, 2000-- It's getting closer! 57 days until our wedding! Most of the work is done! Just a few more small details. I tried scanning some pics to update this page, but I need some kind of card or something. So that will have to wait...

May 1, 2000-- Talk about the wedding jitters. Last night I had a dream that I was late for my own wedding? This dream lasted about an hour! No lie. At the time, I thought that I was HOURS late, when in fact I was only 15 minutes late. Anyway, my hair was done in that totally 80's fashion--with lots of hairspray and my bangs were sky-high! So THAT was stressing me out. Then, I had my dress and shoes on--I realized I needed to put my pantyhose, bra, and crenolin on too. BUT, I couldn't find any of them. So, that was most of the dream--trying to find my pantyhose, bra, and crenolin! In reality, I was totally stressing out because I was so late for my wedding, which is my Ultimate Wedding Nightmare. :) Please pray that our day will NOT be like that!

May 6, 2000-- Today will be my bridal shower! Woohoo! I'll tell you how it went! But I wanted you to click on this link, Strange and Odd Things That a Bride May Wear, because it's hilarious what some brides WILL wear!! Please take a look!

May 7, 2000-- I had my bridal shower yesterday! It was at my parents' house, and my mom and sister were the ones in charge of it. It was so FUN but I was so tired by the end! I don't know why! We played a few games, had great finger food, and I got so many presents! Some were things from my registry, others were nighties/robes/underwear/bras, and others were bath stuff. I got so much! I'll tell you what though---I'm definitely going to need a rest when this is all done! It's so much fun, but it's also exhausting! So, thank you Mom and Melissa!

May 27, 2000-- Wow. The wedding is over. I'm sad. :( The bachelorette party went well. About 12 or so of us girls went out to dinner at Columbia, then partied at Platforms, a club that plays 70's, 80's, and 90's stuff. I wore a sign on my back that said "Suck for a Buck." I was holding a basket of lollipops and the men had to give me a dollar for a lollipop. Some guys were thinking differently though. :) My friend Liz also got me a penis water bottle that someone stole. :( My mom and Jeremy's mom went also--they left at 2AM, but had a wonderful time. The wedding went WONDERFULLY. I think everyone had fun! I smashed the cake into Jeremy's face, while he gave me a teeny piece--he obviously went first! My dad and I danced to "Butterfly Kisses," where my mom cried just watching us. Jeremy and I danced to "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)." I'm gonnna try to get a wedding web page up sometime. Our honeymoonwent wonderfully, except Jeremy got sea sick the first night. Poor hubby. Our cruise to the Bahamas was wonderful--we snorkeled, tanned, swam, layed in hammocks, did cruise boat stuff. It was great. :)

June 3, 2000-- I'm finally catching up with my picture scanning! Visit May 1999, July 1999, and skip over to November 1999 for the latest pics I've scanned. I think Jeremy and I had our first test of marriage last night. No details, sorry. But I WILL say that the key to tests is forgiveness and communication. Remember that.

July 1, 2000-- We're looking for a house now. Jeremy and I have our differences on how 'aggressive' we should be with this whole situation. We also have differences on what paths to take to get this house. We both want to move out of our small apartment badly, but it's a matter of time I suppose. It's all fun, but boy, the choices and decisions we have to make can be a pain! I finally got Jeremy to agree to go to Rio Bravo with me. He hates anything related to Mexican food--he said if I play one level of Zelda, we can go to three restaurants of my choice! I did it, and Rio Bravo was my first choice. Next will be a Thai place. Third, I don't know! :)

July 4, 2000-- We came THIS close to buying a house this past weekend. Yesterday, we found out someone wrote up a contract for the same house. Bad timing, that's all. So, we continue to look, but now we're looking at some new houses in another area. Wish us luck. I've updated some picture pages, if you're interested: August 1999 and September 1999.

July 9, 2000-- Okay, I've decided this page has gotten too long and the web page is getting too big. I'm working on a new page that just continues on from THIS site. For more updates, go to The Enchantment of Love Part Two Updates. See you there!
