Occupation: Underground Rock singer

Priss or Priscilla S. Asagiri is the heroine of Bubblegum Crisis. She lives in an abandoned trailer in the bad part of town. She's an underground rock singer in a band called Sekiria and a fast biker chick. She is a deadly and enthusiastic fighter of the Knight Sabers. Priss seems to be the stereotypical tough-girl. She swears, drives a motorcycle and she genuinely seems to like to fight. This extends to her personal life, where she often seems ready to go to blows over the slightest provocation. She is not a bully however, and is usually moved to these actions by things that offend her… unfortunately for most of the world, a lot of things offend Priss. Equally troublesome is the fact that she's exceptionally good at provoking conflict and disharmony. She's not one to observe the social graces either, and often simply doesn't respond to directly asked questions. A not so successful singer, she's usually broke and hoards her money obsessively. As might be expected, Priss doesn't make friends easily and her relationship with the other Knight Sabers seems to be more a matter of convenience than an actual friendship. When Linna actively tries to befriend her, Priss is at first visibly annoyed, although she later starts to soften… to the point where some believe that she and Linna may be on the path to romantic involvement. Similarly, she detests Leon McNichol of the A.D.Police when he first tries to put the moves on her, but later seems to develop an affectionate tolerance for his testosterone-related antics. It is possible that, when Priss does become involved with someone, she tends to do so very deeply and this has brought her great pain in the past. Therefore, she chooses to simply alienate herself from the rest of society as a form of self-preservation.

A true mystery woman, the exact nature of Priss' relationship with Sylia, and her precise reasons for joining the Knight Sabers are unknown. As she is a motorcycle fanatic, it would appear logical that she was introduced to the Knight Saber leader via Nigel. As Priss is always ready to fight someone over a perceived wrong, it may be that all Sylia had to do was tell Priss what she knew about GENOM and the combustible singer would have signed on. However, it is more probable that the "significant other" who was killed was somehow a victim of either GENOM or a rogue boomer. In episode eight Nene mentions that Priss may have had a significant other who was killed. This would tend to be supported by some of the sketchy information provided in the first series. There are also hints that she may have had some sort of relationship -- maybe romantic -- with Nigel Kirkland. (When Macky mentions this to Sylia, Sylia became enraged.) In the original series there were some hints that Priss was possibly bisexual and comments made by both her fellow band members and Nene in 2040 seem to make this even more likely in the new BGC. But to my personal opinion, Priss was drawn and created to look attractive as she is a singer. Needless to say why she attracts the wrong people as country girls like Linna if you watched episodes 1 and 2. It shows how Priss met Linna, and would have interest in her for becoming a member of the Knight Sabers.

Priss' Hardsuit

Priss' Hardsuit is specifically designed for the alley-style, hit and run fighting tactics. Her suit's main weapon is a set of "concussion gloves". These are essentially focused grenades or landmines on the ends of her arms, with which she beats against a Boomer until she can tear inside where its heart remains and destroy it from the inside out. Until Linna's arrival, Priss was the primary combatant of the team and it is her suit that is used in Linna's first test simulation. Priss' cobalt blue armor, with it's distinctive "winged" helmet antenna and bright red accents, is one of the most popular "mecha" designs in all of anime fandom.
