Surprisingly enough, there is a wealth of information on women in science and mathematics on the internet. Some of them can get repetitive, however, so I picked out a few of the best links especially for this site. But if you want to learn more, I suggest you do a net search of your own. There are plenty of great resources out there. Just take a moment to look ! :)

• Women Mathematicians: (This is pretty much the ultimate resource on the web for information on women in science and math.)It's an award-winning site set up by Larry Riddle at Agnes Scott College. Includes biographies of many women. Truly a valuable source for any research. If you're in a hurry, also feel free to visit...
• Resources on Women Mathematicians: Basically, a link to a list of links to other internet sites on Women in Science and Math. (In other words, a page kinda like this one, but with better links!) A sub division of the Agnes Scott site.
• 4000 Years of Women in Science: Women have been active in science ever since people have been active in science. This site celebrates these women through pictures and brief bios.
• Women of Science This is truly an excellent site. The bios are well written and include references. Good photos.
• The Best of MathNEWS. I really enjoy this site! Educational information and humor all in one shot. Who could ask for more?
• The Women in Math Project: Not only does this site have links, but it also has biographies and studies that have been done on the numbers of women entering the feilds of mathematics and science.

• The HERstory of Women in Science A rather creative name for a rather creative site from Purdue University. Contains links to biographies as well as to other related sites.
• MathFolks Biographies of male as well as female mathematicians.
• Past Notable Women of Computing and Mathematics: This site takes a special interest in women in the feild of computer science.
• Women of NASA: This site is committed to encouraging young women to pursue careers in the feilds of science and technology. More current topics and issues.


Just for Fun...




Math in the Movies A very amusing site that list popular movies containing scenes dealing with math and computers. It rates these movies on the accuracy of the portrayal. A must-see for math and movie enthusiasts.

Ask Dr. Math: A good site for those interested in math... also has a few good links and some interesting brainteasers. Just a bit of amusement for ya!

Fun with Statistics: This site was reccommended by my biostatistics professor- and I have to admit, it is rather amusing and very interactive. The Javascript applets allow you to simulate random statistical tests like rolling dice.
