Today was gorgeous weather for a day at the Los Angeles Zoo. With the admission at $10 per person, it was a much better choice than going to the movies. In about 3.5 hours, we were able to say hello to all the zoo's inhabitants while munching on goodies we'd thrown into our backpack (bananas, ace crackers, puffed rice cakes, green tea, etc.). The flora and fauna were beautiful this time of year, and we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the Los Angeles Zoo. It's not quite as big as the San Diego Zoo but it's worth a visit nevertheless!

He acts like an ape at home... and he seems to meet the measurements of a gorilla... By golly! He IS an ape!
