1884-1943. In 1939 he is named chief commander of the japanese fleet (the combined fleet). Since he is also a pilot, he thinks that the carrier is the most powerful war tool and so it is him who plans the attack on Pearl Harbor. After that, blinded by his numerous victories he thinks that he can launch two simultaneous operations which will both fail: Guadalcanal and Midway. In 1943 while he is meeting his officers in the advanced bases of the Solomon, he is shot down by american fighters and he dies.
