About the Author

Professional

Hi, My name is Mac, I am a Protection Services Officer at The IWK/Grace Health Center in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I am trained in Emergency Reponse, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Pressure Points and Control Tactics, WHIMS, and act as Landing Zone Officer for the Hospital Helo Port. I hold certificates in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, Dog Training for Law Enforcement, & Police Sciences, I am a Certified Protection Officer and I enjoy my work immensely.

Personal

First and foremost, I enjoy spending time with my Wife, Daughter and Hidey, Attack Dog MK III. :-)
I am an avid Naval enthusiast, I enjoy photography, touring warships and keeping up to date on naval technology. I also model modern warships, and collect naval memorabilia, with heavy emphasis on Crew Caps.
Living in Halifax may have a lot to do with my fondness for all things naval, as well as being raised in a Navy household, my Father served 32 years in Her Majesty's Canadian Ships. I am in no way connected with the Navy, I just have a tremendous respect and appreciation for the difficult job they do, and a desire to demonstrate my support for the Men and Women of the Canadian Navy, and indeed, Naval personnel throughout the world, through my photography.
That's what this web site is all about.....

Goals & Ambitions

Ever since finding my Fathers copy of "Janes Fighting Ships 1969-70" at the age of six, It has become my goal to have a picture published in this excellent reference.
As to Ambitions, I would like to get to Sea and record warships in their native environment, Air Ops, weapons launches, RAS(UNREP), aerial and fleet shots. I would also like to take my camera to Norfolk, San Diego, Pearl Harbor, Esquimalt, Devonport, and Portsmouth to increase the numbers and quality of pictures available to visitors of my sites. In short, I would like this site to become a valuable web based ship recognition/shipmodelling reference, in it's own right.

Thanks for visiting, and come back soon!
