LOAD CARRYING
ISRAELI RECONNAISANCE VEST R-1
Developed for Israeli special military units as
a Personal Load Carrying System (PLCS) for carrying equipment close to
the body. Designed for multiple uses such as: driving in car; walking through
shrubbery or difficult terrain; operating in heavily populated areas. Designed
for use in multi-combinations such as; on a bullet proof vest; on bulky
clothing and under large back packs with hip belt.
FEATURING:
Patented pouches which adjust to size of contents with velcro closing and quick pull tabs; four ammunition pouches (8 M-16, Galil, or AK47); three various hand grenade tubs; compass and strobe light pouches, communications instrument pouch; survival back pouch; twin side pouches with draw cords for water bottles; first aid packet pouch; built in knife pouch; elastic strap to secure binoculars or camera from bumping; large collapsable back pouch; straps for securing rope; fifteen dependeble securing points; two vertical adjusted D-rings for bypassing load from the neck while carrying binoculars, camera, armour, etc.; front Velcro cluster + two quick release buckles for secure fit as well as emergency release; six side ladder lock adjustable straps to tighten the vest in various combinations; removeable double layer pads against body.

1000 denier heavy duty Cordura@ with 1.5 oz. waterproof coating. High tenacity 420 denier Nylon with 1.5 oz. waterproof coating. Cambrelle@ sweat absorbing fabric. I.D.F. standard Velcro@ type fasteners. Fastex ltw nylon buckles. Eva closed cell foam, Polyurethane open cell foam. Polyester water repellent sewing thread.

Improved Combat Butt Pack (ICBP)
The Improved Combat Butt Pack is designed to provide
soldiers with an efficient method of carrying a small sustainment load
for short missions as well as providing the means for carrying more equipment
on the ALICE ruck sacks than their capacity allows. Quick-Release buckles allow fast retrieval of items from the butt pack with one hand hand. The ICBP will be phased
into the supply system by the Defense Personnel Support Center as residual
supplies of the current butt pack are drawn down. The estimated date of
supply is September 1996.

Enhanced Tactical Load Bearing Vest (ETLBV)
The Enhanced Tactical Load Bearing Vest is designed
to improve the weight distribution of the soldiers load and reduce the
encumbrance imposed by load bearing equipment. It will increase the soldier's
flexibility in carrying fighting load components, which vary according
to quantity and mix of ammunition, type of weapons, and Mission, Enemy,
Troops, Terrain and Time(METT-T). Additionally, the ETLBV will reduce heat
stress and fatigue, providing the soldier with maximum ventilation using mesh construction. The
ETLBV will be phased into the supply system by the Defense Personnel Supply
Center.
