What a great page on Poland!!! I learned a lot and am appalled at how Poland was treated by the Allies. I am a WW11 buff but my interest is mainly the Pacific and the war with Japan. I think your page is great. The pictures are really wonderful. WW11 is a major interest of mine so I always look for information on it. I would like to add some information and make one correction to your timeline You have the Battle of the Coral Sea listed but I think you should add the fact that it was this battle that marked the turning point in the war with Japan. For the first time the Japanese advance to the south was effectively stopped. The Japanese lost s veral ships at the Battle of the Coral Sea. Among them 2 carriers, one being the Shoho who was sunk largely through the efforts of the carrier USS Lexington and the carrier USS Yorktown CV-5. Also, The USS Lexington was sunk at Coral Sea not Midway. We lso lost the tanker Neosho and the destroyer Sims. The Yorktown was badly damaged but was back to fight in the Battle of Midway. You don't even mention the Yorktown. She was the carrier that was sunk at Midway. After numerous attacks by the Japanese s e was again badly damaged and listing. She was finally sunk by two Japanese torpedos on June 7, 1942. The Yorktown fought valiantly through two history making battles. The Battle of the Coral Sea stopped the advance of the Japanese Navy when they had never been stopped before and the Battle of Midway sunk many of Japan's ships including four of her carriers. This effectively broke the back of the Emperial Japanese Navy The USS Yorktown fought in both battles and deserves recognition in your timeline.
