100 years of aviation

In April 1903, a Romanian engineer named Traian Vuia had patented this wonderful new invention, called the aeroplane. Three years later, in 1906, he was also the first man to take off in a machine by its thrust-power alone, marking a critical turning point in the history of humanity.
Today, countries and continents are linked in ways that were unimaginable one or two centuries months or even years, as was the case before.
