| The purpose of Task Force One is to Close With, and Destroy the Enemy. I intend to do this by providing organization and leadership. The ultimate goal of Task Force One is to Conduct a Task Force attack with everybody in the unit participating on a fairly regular basis, like once a week. In between attacks, teams/sections have the freedom of operating independantly, if they want, or heck induvidually. I don't even envision a "requirement" to participate in Task Force attacks. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated tho, such as recons and stuff like that. With the roster as folks come in, I'll try to match up best I can playing times and time zones, and any other preferences that you may have. By all means, talk to me! Do you merely want to move up in ranks fast? We'll definately try to help you out. I think knowing and trusting somebody in the higher echelons would help us out. Info from the Game Makers (Rat) say I can make "squad" missions if I want, but won't be worth any "points". We'll have to wait till the open beta to see if there is any advantage to this. Maybe you'll have access to weapons you couldn't get otherwise if I do this, but who knows for now. I would like to have a pool of personnel with strengths, or a specialty that you like to play.. That way, if I need you or someone else in the Task Force needs you, we have someone we know we can count on! So pick a position you think you'll play most the time. You're not stuck there forever, you can always change ya know:) But that's really the main purpose of your "position choice" on the Task Force "Task Organization" webpage, pretty much just information and recognition. Leadership: I lead by example. I'm not gonna ask you to do anything I wouldn't do. I don't claim to know everything, and your input means alot to me. If you are a newbie, I want to help you become great. If you are great, I want to help you become elite. As far as rank goes within the Task Force, I'll ask you who you usually work with, and see who the "emergent leaders" are, or ask YOU who you want to be led by, or who you would like to lead. As far as team leaders, or squad leaders, platoon leaders, I need a information chain in case I'm unable to make contact or can't make contact with folks, or can't play for whatever reason. The war must go on! If you are a leader, by all means, train/fight/do whatever your team/section/group wants to. If you want to get a bigger group, talk to your higher leader or me and request stuff. Like I said the only TASK FORCE thing I'd really like to do is a full up attack once a week. If we want more, I'll try to organize it, having other leaders leading the attack You'll probably see me playing during the week, and I'll always try to do/get/make happen what you ask for. I'll have some interesting ideas and links under the TTP's, (Tactics Techniques, and Procedures). I guarantee you we'll need SOP's, (Standard Operating Procedures). I know this all sounds like alot of stuff, but after one or two times thru you'll see the benefits. I've done this kind of thing before in the "real" world so that helps.
