Chinese Propaganda

Disclaimer

Before we go any further let me state that I am not a communist and in no way sympathetic towards that cause. The experiment has failed and although former Chairman Deng Xiaoping has introduced a market economy to China under the guise of Marxist/Leninist/Maoist thought, I believe it(communism) is doomed to failure (but hopefully not in a nasty, violent way) where-ever it is. For more on this see SELECTED WORKS OF DENG XIAOPING. That site is copyrighted material provided by The Peoples Daily Online, the official press organ of the Chinese Communist Party. I picked up these leaflets at the People Cultural Palace in ShenZhen along with a 1st edition english copy of Quotations from Mao Tse Tung. The picture of the billboard in ShenZhen was taken at LizHi Park, on the corner of Shengnanzhong and Honglingzhong Rds.
Go here for other pictures of my trip to China and more information about me.

My interest in this subject is purely professional.

With the exception of the picture of the billboard, the propaganda on this site is from the Cultural Revolution. If you don't know the Cultural Revolution broke the bonds of 2000 years of Confusionism in China, basically the Chinese were drug, kicking and screaming into the 20th Century. There are a million things I could say about the Cultural Revolution, but I think I will "cop out" for now and just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Deng Xiaoping, the founder of the ShenZhen Special Economic Zone. See the nice Chinese lady taking a picture of the foreign devil (me) taking a picture of Chairman Deng.
