SYNOPSIS:
LTJG Richard Deuter was a Bombadier/Navigator(BN), assigned to the same squadron Richard Frank Collins was assigned to, VA-196, onboard the USS Ranger. On Nov. 22, 1969, he launched off the flight deck, with his pilot, Commander Richards, in their A-6 Alpha Intruder aircraft on a bombing mission into Laos. The assigned mission was visual dive-bombing under the control of an airborne Forward Air Controller (FAC). Once in the target area, the FAC assigned a target and the aircraft was rolled into a normal dive-bombing attack. At some point in the dive, probably just before the bomb released, the aircraft became completely unresponsive and began to fall apart, and disintegrate.

Commander Richards gave the eject order to LTJG Dueter to eject from the crippled aircraft. The aircraft continued to fall apart, and crash into the ground. The only survivor found was Commander Richard, and his emergency radio was instrumental in helping pinpoint his location to the "Angels of Mercy", and was rescued by helicopter approximately 30 minutes after landing. Search efforts failed to locate Deuter.

It is believed that the aircraft was hit by Anti-Aircraft Artillery in its dive and suffered a structural failure which led to the plane's demise. With all the facts taken into account, it is impossible to conclude if whether or not Dueter successfully ejected from the crippled aircraft. LTJG Richard C. Deuter is classified as Missing in Action (MIA)

Could have LTJG Richard Deuter, Michael Quinn, and LTCDR Collins been shot down by this SA-2 Guidline Missile used extensively in Vietnam or other AAA (Anti-Aircraft Artillery)????

DAMN, DO OUR POLITICIANS REALLY GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THESE SERVICEMEN, AND ALL OTHER SERVICEMEN WHO ARE STUCK IN A CELL SOMEWHERE EITHER IN VIETNAM, OR SOUTHEAST ASIA??? IT IS TIME TO HELP FIGHT FOR THESE MEN, AND GET THEM OUT OF HELL, AND BE REUNITED WITH THEIR FAMILIES. IF THE POLITICIANS THINK FOR ONE MINUTE, THAT WE AS AMERICANS, ARE GOING TO LET THIS ISSUE DIE, THEY ARE SADLY MISTAKEN.

I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON THIS ISSUE UNTIL ALL MY ADOPTED SERVICEMEN ARE HOME.

Whether the location was ever concealed, or "covered up" by corrupt politicians, the use of the phrase"inland from the coast of South Vietnam" is certainly misleading since the aircraft was seeking"targets of opportunity" on the infamous Ho Chi Minh Trail in the Savannakhet Province, Laos.

If he is one of the hundreds of Americans experts now believe are still deceased in captivity in Southeast Asia, what are we doing to bring his remains home? What did he think of us, and why did the American government leave him to die in captivity?? Is it because of greed, or maybe the "river of denial" ran like a stream, and covered over the truth as to his release from his hell on earth.

When you write the letters to the families, please make sure that you address it in reference to the missing serviceperson's family.
This is how I got in touch with Mrs. Lucy Sennett.
She is the wife of one of my missing servicemen Robert R. Sennett.
I can only imagine what these families like Mrs. Lucy Sennett have been through of not knowing.
This must be hell on earth for them.
Please, let's make their lives easier by taking the torch for them and finding out what happened to their family member, and not accepting anything but the truth, and not subjecting ourselves to the "Presumptive Finding of Death" finding.
As a person of this cause, I can honestly say, that those families expect nothing less. Let's NOT ACCEPT anything less.
