~People~
Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to understanding with the passing
whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile,
leave footprints on our hearts,
and we are never, ever the same.

I'm Julie and I am currently an honorary Ft. Lewis wife. My husband, John, is a combat engineer stationed at Camp Laramie, near Camp Red Cloud, in Korea. He spent 2 years with the 14th Engineer Battalion here at Ft. Lewis and is now with the 50th Engineer Company. This June I will be graduating from
Seattle Pacific University with a BA in Communication. To make life more exciting, John and I are expecting our first child in late October. We pray that everything will stay put until he is home on leave! When John and I are in the same country we love to go to rodeos, shoot our guns, and go camping. Hopefully we will get orders to return to Ft. Lewis after Korea in April 2000.
Hello, I'm Leeanne and my beautiful new daughter Megan. I am the mother of three beautiful children, although currently only my two youngest  live with me. My husband Niyo is in 1/33 AR HHC and is considered the file daddy of the platoon. My husband and I both came here from New Mexico, from a small town most of you may or may not know....Los Alamos....yes, the home of the Atomic Bomb...(it sometimes glows there )
My oldest daughter Khrystahl is 3 1/2 and will be 4 years old in July. I am almost 24, Megan is a little over a month old, and Niyo is going to be 27 this year...
So from this happy family of Hollanders, we would like to say hello to all and to have a nice day.

Hi, I am Kat. I am married to Tom. He is in HHC USAG working in the Commadants office here on Fort Lewis. We have been here for 5 years, and have enjoyed our time here.
We have a 16 year old daughter, Shannon, and an 8 year old son, Lex. Both are great kids.
Shannon is going to Guatamala this summer to help with the rebuilding of a Ronald McDonald House since Hurricane Mitch went through there and caused so much devastation.
Lex is a great kid. He is recovering from a severe burn that occurred on his 8th birthday, Nov 2, 1997. He is doing great and is full of an awesome amount of courage that I know I could only HOPE to possess in his situation. To learn more about his injuries visit his web site.

Tom and I enjoy an occasional dinner out and camping either in the mountains or on the beach. The preferable place for being alone is the beach!!! Our family loves to hike, ride bikes and just general snuggling. My favorite place to be is right here on my puter with my friends. This group has been a life saver for me. What a great way to make friends and meet new people!!! We are some lucky gals to have each other.

Hi, my name is Kathy and my husband's name is Mike. We have 3 boys ages 11, 9 and 2 1/2. We have been stationed here in Washington for just a year. So far we like it ok, but it sure does rain a lot.
We have been an Army family for almost 14 years now. Some other places we have been stationed at are APG MD, Aschaffenburg GE, Ft Carson CO, and Ft Wainwright AK.
I love being part of this loop, they are all a bunch of great gals!
No one knows how long the legend has been observed...
