Anchor's Away!
After the birth of our third child, one of the navy
doctors
with whom I was talking, called to my attention that if our
country became involved in a war or other event in which
personnel were deployed, I could find myself in the position of
being there and my children here. Under what I later
considered undue pressure, I left active duty with a saddened
heart, however, I remained in the reserves and met my reserve
duty as navy regs required. My, how things have changed over the
past thirty years! Today we see women on active duty while
maintainig an intact family unit. Way to go!
