My Great Grandparents

2. PETER DHONDTH was born 13 Jan 1870 in St. Margarets, Belgium. He married 1895 in Ill. to SADIE ROELANDT, daughter of Joannes and Teresa VERHEECHE Roelandt. They were first in Annawan/Atkinson, Ill area and then moved to Minn in the early 1900's because the land was less expensive. He died 11 Mar 1924 in Hardwick, Rock, MN. She moved to Ill after he died and died there. Her body was sent to MN for burial.

12. ALICE MARIE DHONDTH was born 10 Sep 1900 in Mineral, IL. She married 23 Nov 1922 in Luverne, Rock, MN to THEOPHILE CATHELYN. It was a double ceremony with her sister and a Dhaemers. Theophile was the son of JULIUS and HORTENSE VANACKER CATHELYN. "Jules" came to America first, then sent for Hortense. Destination was Atkinson, IL. Alice died 27 Dec 1937 in Moline, IL and Theophile died 14 Feb 1947 in Moline, IL.
