| 1902. | On the 6th of March the Club is founded, being Mr Juan Padrós its first President. The players are almost completely dressed in white, only the socks and a line in the shield being purple. An Englishman, Mr Arthur Johnson, is the Real Madrid's first coach. On the 15th of April the regulations of the Club are oficially stated. On the 13th of May the Spanish competition begins with the first national derby between the Real Madrid and the Barcelona F.C. The Real Madrid loses by 3-1. However, they beat the Español, from Barcelona, by 3-2 and win their first trophy ever: the Cup of the "Gran Peña". |
| 1905. | The Real Madrid wins the first Cup of Spain on the 16th of April, beating the Bilbao Athletic by 1-0 in the final. On the 23th of October Carlos Padrós organizes the first international match of the Club, on account of the visit to Spain of the French President M. Loubert. The game between the Galia Sport, from Paris, and the Real Madrid finishes with a result of 0-0. |
| 1906. | The Real Madrid gets its second Spanish Cup on the 10th of April, after beating the Bilbao Athletic by 4-1. |
| 1907. | Third Spanish Cup, beating the Vizcaya by 1-0. |
| 1908. | Fourth Spanish Cup, beating the Sporting, from Vigo, by 4-1. Adolfo Meléndez becomes President. |
| 1909. | The O'Donnell field is opened. |
| 1916. | Adolfo Meléndez becomes once more the President of the Club. |
| 1917. | Fifth Spanish Cup against the Arenas, from Guetxo. The new President of the club is Pedro Parages. |
| 1920. | The King Alfonso XIII gives the team the title of "Royal". From this time on, the team's name will be Real Madrid F.C. |
| 1923. | The field in Ciudad Lineal is opened. |
| 1924. | The Chamartín Stadium, built by José María Castell, is inaugurated. The English Newcastle plays the opening match. The new President of the team is Luis Urquijo. |
| 1927. | Real Madrid begin a tour accross South America, along which they win 9 matches, lose 4 and finish 3 with a tie. |
| 1929. | On the 10th of February the first match of the national League takes place: the Real Madrid beats the Europa by 5-0. |
| 1930. | Luis Usera becomes President of the Club. |
| 1932. | The Real Madrid gets the championship of the national League without losing a single match. |
| 1933. | Sixth Spanish Cup, beating the Valencia C.F. by 2-1. Second League. Antonio Santos is the new President of the Club. |
| 1935. | Rafael Sánchez Guerra becomes President of the Club. He will lead the Club through the hard times of the Civil War. |
| 1938. | Seventh Spanish Cup after beating the F.C. Barcelona by 2-1. |
| 1943. | On the 15th of September Santiago Bernabéu is designated President of the Club. |
| 1946. | Eighth Cup after beating the Valencia C.F. by 3-1. |
| 1947. | On the 14th of December the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is opened with a match against the Portuguese "Os Beleneses". |
| 1952. | The Real Madrid becomes fifty years old. An international match against the "Millonarios de Bogotá" is held to conmemorate the the occasion. |
| 1954. | Third League. |
| 1955. | The Real Madrid plays the European Cup for the first time. Forth League. |
| 1956. | First EUROPEAN CUP against the French Stade Reims (4-3). |
| 1957. | Second EUROPEAN CUP after beating the Fiorentina by 2-0. Fifth League. |
| 1958. | Third EUROPEAN CUP after beating the A.C. Milan by 3-2. Sixth League. |
| 1959. | Fourth EUROPEAN CUP against the Stade Reims (2-0). |
| 1960. | Fifth EUROPEAN CUP after beating the Eintracht by 7-3 in the best European final ever played, according to the experts. Champion of the INTERCONTINENTAL CUP: the Peñarol was beat in double match played in Montevideo and Madrid by 0-0 and 5-1. |
| 1961. | Seventh League. |
| 1962. | Tenth Cup after beating the Sevilla C.F. Eight League. |
| 1963. | The sports facilities and training fields of the Ciudad Deportiva, placed in the centre of the city, are opened in Madrid. Ninth League. |

| 1966. | Sixth EUROPEAN CUP after beating the Partizan, from Belgrado. Second place of the INTERCONTINENTAL CUP after losing against the Peñarol from Montevideo by 2-0 and 2-0. |
| 1967. | Twelfth League. The Club pays a warm tribute to Alfredo Di Stefano. |
| 1968. | Thirteenth League. |
| 1969. | Fourteenth League. |
| 1970. | Eleventh Spanish Cup. |
| 1971. | Second place of the European Recopa after being beat in the final by the English FC Chelsea. |
| 1972. | Fifteenth League. |
| 1974. | Twelfth Cup against the FC Barcelona (4-0). |
| 1975. | Sixteenth League. Thirteenth Cup. |
| 1976. | Seventeenth League. |
| 1977. | Real Madrid's seventy-fifth anniversary. |
| 1978. | Eighteenth League. Mr Santiago Bernabéu's decease on the 2nd of June. After his death, Luis de Carlos becomes president. |
| 1979. | Nineteenth League. |
| 1980. | Twentieth League and fouteenth Cup after beating the Castilla (at that time the Real Madrid's second team). |
| 1981. | Second place of the Champions' League after losing in Paris against the FC Liverpool by (1-0). |
| 1982. | Fifteenth Cup after beating the Sporting by 2-1. On account of the World Championship '82, held in Spain, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is renewed. |
| 1983. | Second place of the European Recopa after losing against the Aberdeen by 2-1. |
| 1985. | Champions of the U.E.F.A. Cup after beating the Hungarian Videoton by 3-0 and 0-1 in two matches. Champions of the "Copa de La Liga". Ramón Mendoza becomes president and changes the policy of the team encouraging the purchase of new players and new investiments. |
| 1986. | Champions of the U.E.F.A. Cup after beating the German FC Colonia by 5-1 and 0-2 in two matches. Twenty-first League. |
| 1987. | Twenty-second League. |
| 1988. | Twenty-third League. First Spanish Supercup after beating the F.C. Barcelona. |
| 1989. | Twenty-fourth League and sixteenth Spanish Cup after beating the Real Valladolid in the final by 2-0. |
| 1990. | Twenty-fifth League. Second Spanish Supercup after beating the FC Barcelona. |
| 1992. | Works to renew the Stadium begin. The tiers, cover and entries to the Stadium are modernized and improved. |
| 1993. | Seventeenth Spanish Cup against the Real Zaragoza (2-0). Third Spanish Supercup against the F.C. Barcelona. |
| 1995. | Twenty-sixth League. Lorenzo Sanz becomes president once Ramón Mendoza leaves the Club. |
| 1997. | Twenty-seventh League. Fourth Spanish Supercup against the F.C. Barcelona. |
| 1998. | Seventh CHAMPIONS' LEAGUE after beating the Juvenus by 1-0, on the 20th of May in the Amsterdam Arena Stadium. The goal was scored by Pedja Mijatovic. |
