To join the Squadron you must be at least eight (8) years of age. The squadron is divided up into several age groups, although all age groups parade together, and are not separate. The age groups are as follows:

Note: Age is not relative to rank, except in the case of adult entry, where you shall be trained as an officer.

The Newcastle RSL Air Cadet Squadron meets every Friday night beginning at 1900hrs (7:00pm) and finishing at 2130hrs (9:30pm). The meetings are held at Lambton High School, Young Road, Lambton (near Marathon Stadium).

You are more than welcomed to come along, enjoy an introductory night, see what we do and meet the Cadets. We encourage people not to join after the first night, but to come along for four nights, before making a commitment.

Joining fees are kept to a minimum, and the fee is reviewed each year by the parent committee, The fee is a reasonable $15.00 a head. After joining a parade fee is charged each meeting and is $3.00. This fee is to cover the use of the school premises. A special rate is offered to for families with more than one member of the Cadets. It is alos possible to pay parade fees in advance, in doing so, you will recieve a discount in fees.
