Anyway,In case you were wondering,the FCÁ (Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúl/Local Defence Force) is the army portion of the Irish Reserve Defence Forces. It is analogous to the Territorial Army in the UK or the National Guard in the US. If you want to find out more about it you can look up the official Defence Forces Site. When I get a chance I'll include some information of my own here.

F company is based in Durrow, County Laois. F company encompasses the South Laois Region,with members from towns such as Abbeyleix,Mountrath,Rathdowney,Borris in Ossory,Ballacolla and surrounding areas. Weekly training is held on Wednesday nights,mostly in Durrow,but sometimes in other towns,where drill is practiced and other skills e.g. Weapons,Patrolling,etc. are learned. Regular weekend exercises are held,and then there is a week long annual camp or recruit camp for starters.

As of yet I haven't got any pictures of F company,but this will hopefully change and in the meantime, here are some pictures of a Dublin FCÁ unit on exercise.
