The photo above was taken by Harold S. Deal. He was a Pharmacist Mate aboard the Destroyer Escort USS Liddle, DE-206, later converted to the fast transport APD-60. For a time he was the ship's photographer, and his family has run across his collection of photographs, making them available for use by shipmates, friends, families, and other interested people to share in the images that he took.
